Newport Beach is one of my favorite settings for family photoshoots. 

As a photographer in Orange County for the last 5 years, I have had the pleasure of shooting at countless beaches, but Newport Beach is on the top of the list for me. 

I want to give you an insider look on my top 3 reasons why I think Newport Beach is the ideal location for capturing beautiful and memorable family photos.

Newport Beach is a breathtakingly beautiful location that offers a wide variety of scenery for your family photoshoot.

 From the sandy beach to the rocky cliffs, there are so many options to choose from. 

The Newport Beach pier is a particularly picturesque spot that offers stunning views of the ocean and is perfect for capturing memorable family moments.

Reason #2: Ideal Lighting

As a photographer, lighting is everything when it comes to capturing the perfect shot. Newport Beach offers an ideal lighting situation for family photoshoots, particularly during the early morning and late afternoon hours. 

The soft, warm light of the sun adds a magical touch to your family portraits and enhances the natural beauty of the location. In many of my favorite Newport Beach locations the sun can spill over a cliff, through wood pilings or just over the horizon for that beautiful soft glow we all love.

Reason #3: Family & Dog Friendly Atmosphere

Newport Beach is also a family-friendly location that offers a fun and relaxing atmosphere for all of your family members, dogs included.  

Whether your family loves playing in the sand, exploring the tide pools, or simply taking a leisurely stroll along the beach, Newport Beach has something for everyone. 

Your family will feel comfortable and at ease, which will result in more natural and authentic family photos, which is what we always aim for.
